Sunny Sunday

Hi everyone!

Well, we did not get to the ocean this weekend. We couldn't get a place to stay and I am not too big on the spontaneity front when it comes to hotel rooms. It's difficult to find a place that will let you take three weird puppy dogs.

We decided to stay home instead and talked about planning a summer vacation. I would really like to have a warm weather vacation near some water this year. I keep having visions of relaxing on a lakefront or even a slow moving stream in the woods. With the nice warm air, all the wonderful smells of the woods really come out. All the plants and animals are relaxed from the warmth and bounty of summer. I'm ready!!

There are so many wonderful lakes and rivers up here in Washington. They would be perfect if we could be sure of consistently nice weather. But that's what makes it so green and lovely up here, the summer rains. So we will look east and south for our little trip. But then there's Sol Duc. That's north west of us and in the rain forest. But the hot springs help immensely and there is the beautiful lodge and these sweet cabins. Tough decision coming up!

We have just been having a regular weekend at home, some lounging, some laundry and miscellaneous chores. You know, just a weekend. :o) We did have some unusual weather this weekend. Rain and breezy on Saturday, we woke up to snow this morning. It was bright and sunny with a lovely layer of melting snow on the lawns.
I sent hubby outside this morning with the camera and requested some blog fodder. Blog Fodder...makes me want to say it like I'm in the movies..."da Blog Fodder writes a post you cannot refuse."
Anyway......hubby did a wonderful job of capturing the late snow. The puppies always love the company outside and posed quite nicely. Honey and Charlie, the girls, romped about and enjoyed the snow. Ollie does not romp in the snow. He plods along slowly just like his mama.
I hope you have all had a restful weekend. We all need some rest and a break from all the troubles the world is facing. I want to thank you for the time you take to visit us. All of us at the the Puglette home appreciate you and wanted to let you know.
thanks for stopping by!
hugs,
puglette
:o)

  5. Congrats on the new addition, Anthony Jr. What is that snow doing there? Tell it to go away. Mom can't blame you for wanting a warm vacation by water. She likes the idea as well.

  10. It's nice to be dreaming of summer and warmth before winter releases its grip! We're planning to go interrailing this summer. Bajas will be staying home, poor guy. He would have enjoyed it soo much.. And I'll be missing him for a whole month..

Hope you have a great week - it's almost Easter!

  11. Your hubby did an excellent job gathering "blog fodder" (now I'm always going to be hearing that in a mobster voice)

And Ollie, no one plods along as cutely as you do, my sweet pug.
