Charlie's Road Trip

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and happy. I have been on my own for a few days with just Ollie and Honey. Hubby and Charlie went on a long road trip and just got home. Hubby took a few pictures on his trip and I thought you would like to see them.

This was a working road trip so Charlie and Hubby were in his big truck. Charlie does not really like to ride on the dash board like Ollie. She is a lady and she sits on the passenger seat. Here she is giving her dad the "no flashies!" look.

Here's an Ollie-Wog reminder of how cute he is on the dashboard. :o)

Charlie likes to keep an eye on her dad at all times. The rests her little elbows on the truck window and makes sure he is doing the job in a timely manner. "We got a long way to go, step it up dad!"

Hubby drove all the way to Los Angeles from Washington. That is a long, dull ride. If you have ever driven down I-5 down the middle of California, you know what I mean. But at the end of this long road Hubby got to visit with Daughter!! She is living in San Diego now and we really miss her. Isn't she beautiful!?! She is doing well and has a good job and is making lots of new friends. We are very proud of her. :o)

Daughter took this cute picture of her dad and Charlie.

After dropping off the vehicles he towed down to CA and visiting with the lovely Daughter it was time to turn the truck around and head for home. On the way home, Hubby and Charlie got to stop and visit Auntie Marilyn. Auntie Mare is the best aunt you could ask for. She is a ton of fun and is always ready for an adventure.

Charlie had fun watching Auntie's kitties. They were more concerned about Charlie than she was with them.

We are looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend now that Hubby and Charlie have safely returned. I am so glad to have them back home!

Take care everyone!

So Many Doggies!

Hi everyone!

Well, here we are again close to the weekend. Woohoo! Charlie is going on a road trip with Grandma to an out of state agility trial. Hopefully she won't be so stubborn. No one will be holding their breath. :o)

I talked about all of the cute dogs we saw at last weekend's dog show. Here are just some of the wonderful pooches we saw. So many interesting and cute breeds that we had not seen along with the usual breeds. It was amazing that there were no growls or barks to be heard except the ones in the agility ring.

Malamute - we had one named Juneau. He was so sweet but so destructive!

Puggie Condo!

Hubby with a pug puppy. We tried to steal her, but her people were keeping a close eye on her!

Who are these cuties?!?

Mango, we saw some lovely mastiffs, but none with your beautiful brindle coat.

Grandma always finds the westie's!

This guy's bib said "Have slobber, will travel". It made me think of Mango.

We had a wonderful time at this years Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show and look forward to next year.
have a great weekend everyone!

No More Weave Poles!

Hi everyone!

We had a lot of fun this past Saturday at the Seattle Kennel Club show. This is a big event with vendors, show dogs and agility all held in a convention center.

Here are some pictures of the event floor. The first floor held the vendors, show dog rings and the agility ring. The second floor was a "Meet the Breed" and support for shelter groups area. There were about a million people and dogs there!! Ok, maybe just a few hundred or so, but still, lots of doggies and their humans.

Charlie was not in the mood for agility this weekend. She would sort of do Ok on the jumps and tunnels but would absolutely refuse to do the weave poles. And when Charlie does not want to do something she just plants her little feet and looks up at you with her big brown eyes. There is no way to coax her into completing the weave poles. On her second and final fun of the day her Grandma had had enough and just scooped her up and carried her off the field.

We all made up excuses for her - "too much walking around" "too much noise" "too much stimulation" "too many adoring fans". Nope, just stubbornness. The next day Charlie went with her Grandma to a smaller agility event and did the same thing, "No More Weave Poles Grandma!".

Oh well, some days are like that.

I will have more pictures of the dogs to share with you on the next post. We saw lots of great dogs and took a lot of pictures.
Talk to you soon!

Ollie on the Job!

Hi everyone!

Now that Charlie is getting back into agility trials she needs to practice. So one day a week hubby takes Ollie to work instead of Charlie!

Ollie is a good worker, he sits on the dashboard and helps dad keep an eye on traffic. Here he is looking stylish in his plaid jacket, plaid is so "in" this year.

This is the view of Ollie that all the lucky folks on the road get to see. He gets lots of honks and waves.

The dashboard spot is pretty comfy. A nice quilt and a heated tushy make for a pretty sweet ride.

I should have photos from Charlie's agility trial this weekend. She is running with the AKC puppies in Seattle. That is a fun event as there are lots of vendors to visit and a dog show to watch.
Talk to you soon!
